Mermaid Stella, our Renaissance Mermaid, had a blast visiting Uhuberg Castle for Helen's very first Winter Castle Festival! While she typically perfers warmer weather, meeting with the humans and fae of Helen made the trip well worth it.

Fandom Fest

After the amazing adventure she had in Danielsville, Mermaid Cleo thought she would check out the city of Lavonia for Fandom Fest! There, she was able to learn all about different 'fandoms' the humans take interest in: Star Trek, Star Wars, Pathfinder, Dungeons and Dragons, Harry Potter, and more!
She was also glad to be included in helping Fandom Fest raise money for the Lavonia Learning Center!
4F Renaissance Festival
Saturday & Sunday, September 23-24, 2023
Mermaid Cleo was thrilled to be invited to the closing weekend of the first ever 4F Renaissance Festival! With everything from the woodland walking trails, the kittens roaming freely around the property, to the Free Range Minstrel, it was certainly a blast in the small town of Danielsville.

South Carolina Upstate Renaissance Faire

MerFairy Flutter had such a fun time visiting the humans of Greer, South Carolina! From fairies to knights to jesters, there were so many fun characters and personas to meet and interact with, not to mention the fire dancers that performed at the end of the night!

Lavonia Renaissance Festival

Following their "Fairy Tale" theme this year, a new mermaid made her debut at the Lavonia Renaissance Festival! Along with her Sailor Love, Mermaid Iris had a fantastic time meeting all of the humans of Lavonia, and learning all about human fairytales!

South Carolina Fairy Festival

In her fairy form, Flutter was able to visit South Carolina's very first Fairy Festival! Along side fellow fairies, mermaids, and unicorns, she had such a fun time meeting all the humans that came to visit!

Lavonia Renaissance Festival

Mermaid Ciarán and her pirate crew invaded the viking-themed renaissance festival in Lavonia, and had an absolute blast! We loved meeting all the human children of Lavonia, taking photos, hosting a few mermaid story times, and even answering some questions about life in the ocean!
Thanks to the pirate crew and their spray bottle of magical sea mist, we were able to keep Mermaid Ciarán in her tail for the duration of the event.
Word on the shoreline has it that next year's theme is Fairy Tales. We just might have to come back in 2023 for another visit!

Papa's Pilar Rum & Hemingway House Museum

I was honored to have the opportunity to advertise for Papa's Pilar Rum at the Hemingway House Museum! Papa's Pilar Rum is a local Key West distillery, who offers free rum tastings and tours of the distillery. Along the tour, they not only offer some lesser-known facts about the life of Earnest Hemingway, but also talk about the history of rum and how it impacted US history.
Hemingway is a point of pride for Key West, as he lived here for a time in what is now known as the Hemingway House Museum! It's also known as the home of the 6-toed cats, and is registered as a federally protected animal sanctuary to protect the descendants of the original Hemingway cats! And yes, the cat in the photo is one of the Hemingway cats. His name is Archie, and he was curious about what we were doing in his favorite sun spot.

Crystal Smith, a body paint artist, had a unique vision for mermaid body art: an alien mermaid. To incorporate an extra layer of depth and realism to her vision, she used UV reactant paints, as well as a variety of paints that shine differently when exposed to colored lights.
ArJay Hasty, being the amazingly talented photographer he is, had no problem bringing her vision to life: we traveled around the island with a collection of colored and UV lights to make sure we could properly show off Crystal's work in all kinds of lighting.

KW Soaps

I was so excited to do a collaboration with KW Soaps for a Self Care Mermaid photo shoot. The products looked, smelled, and felt amazing, and are available in so many different scents, colors, and collections. Everything is hand made in-store down in Key West, and their attention to detail really shows.

After having heard such good reviews from her friend Serena, The Bone Island Fairy decided to try it out for herself. Towards the end of Fantasy Fest, she came down to visit Wicked Lick and try the Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream she's heard so much about!

This unique parlor makes their soft served ice cream with a Liquid Nitrogen base.
