What is a Professional Mermaid and how do I hire one?

A professional mermaid is someone who dresses up as a mermaid professionally (a redundant explanation, I know, but it really is that simple!). I have been cosplaying since 2015, and having found my love for mermaids 3 years later I decided to merge my two favorite hobbies into one. Soon after I was certified for certain types of performances (see below under "Certifications") and quickly made a career out of it.

Having my start in Cosplay, I learned rather quickly that having one mermaid persona (more commonly known as "mersona") was not enough. Day and night I found myself flooded with ideas for different mermaids, so I channeled my story-telling and design creativity into creating multiple mersonas, each complete with fully developed narratives, personalities, and backstories (see: Mersonas).

When booking an event, it is not necessary to request a specific Mersona. This option is made available for those who already have an idea of what they are looking for, typically to match a themed event (example: Angels and Demons parties tend to ask for Nerezza ; Butterfly Gardens and Conservatories prefer Flutter ; Halloween and Zombie events lean heavily towards Serena ; sometimes a child sees a specific mersona on social media and that's the one they want to come to their pool party ; etc.)

If you are looking for a basic color scheme to match your event and you do not see a mersona that compliments your theme, please let us know what your desired aesthetic is and we will mix and match our tails, wigs, and tops to fit your vision!

Types of Events

 

I am available for hire for various events: hotel and corporate parties, children's parties, fundraisers, music videos, product/business advertisements, collaborations, promotions, photoshoots, "Mermaid Discoveries on the Beach/Lake", school visits (as a mermaid for pre-school and most elementary grades, as a speaker for middle and high schools), concerts, nature conservatories, renaissance festivals, museums, aquariums, "Breakfast with Mermaids" & "Mermaids and Mimosas" at cafes and restaurants, and more!

 

Certifications

I am fully certified for tank, aquarium, pool, and lake events! Basically, any and all enclosed water performances!

Primary Locations

I am primarily available in North Georgia, though I do frequently visit the Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee! Don't be afraid to ask if we will be in town during your event, or if we are willing to travel!

-  Type of event (corporate parties, children's parties, collaborations, renaissance festivals, etc.)

-  Whether it's adult-oriented, family friendly, or child-oriented.

-  The date, time, and location of the event

While we do offer a wide range of fairies, most of our inquiries and bookings are mermaid-oriented. Because of this, if you are looking for a fairy or merfairy, please specify that in your message!
